Hey guys! I am proud to report that I got in a double T25 workout today! I always feel awesome afterwards, but I usually kindof dread Fridays because it’s double day… but now I’m 2 weeks into beta, and I only have 3 to go! I am enjoying T25 but I am also really looking forward to trying something different once it’s over! I have been keeping up with counting my calories, which means today is 13 days straight I haven’t had a cheat day…. I haven’t overeaten ONCE. I have stayed within my calorie guidelines (which is now more like 1400-1500 calories, 1300 was feeling too restrictive) almost every day. So I’m feeling pretty great about myself! 🙂
Today I’m sharing an energy brownie bite recipe, which I got here. I know a lot of people say you should fast before a workout but I am just not one of those people… when I work out on an empty stomach I either feel sick, or I have very little energy, or both! Often I have half a protein bar but I decided to change it up a bit and make these brownie bites. The best part is that they legitimately taste like brownies, I was pleasantly surprised!
1/4 cup oats, 1/4 cup dates*, 1/4 cup peanut butter, 1/2 tsp vanilla, 1 tbsp cocoa powder, 1 tbsp water
Put everything in a food processor except the water until it’s well blended, then add in water and blend again. Roll into balls, it should come out to about 12. For my snack I usually eat three balls, which equals just under 150 calories.
*Be sure you use PITTED dates… I didn’t realize I bought unpitted until I tried them in the food processor… woops!
